PHILADELPHIA, Penn., August 3, 2018 – To commemorate his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, former Philadelphia Eagles football player Brian Dawkins designed an exclusive hat and cap collection.
Dawkins is excited about this first step from his career in football into the world of entrepreneurship, with the ultimate goal of giving back and blessing others through his successes. Partnering with Bollman Hat Company, America’s oldest hat maker, Dawkins created a luxurious wool felt fedora and a knitted pub cap. The wool felt hat is a classic feature-flattering fedora and will be available in three colors. The cap, made of globally sourced materials, has a sleek silhouette and is available in black and white. Both the hat and cap were made by employee-owners in Bollman’s Adamstown factory.
The employee-owners were one reason why Dawkins chose to work with Bollman. After touring the factory and meeting the hardworking Americans behind two of his favorite brands, Bailey of Hollywood and Kangol, he was eager to get started. “Attention to detail, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of being the best you can be are the marks of a champion, and I saw these qualities in the people at Bollman,” Dawkins said.
Bollman’s President and CEO Don Rongione said, “Our factory is located 60 miles west of Philadelphia, some of us were born in Philly and many of us are Eagles fans. We were honored to have the opportunity to work with Brian and celebrate his enshrinement with our phenomenal hats and caps in our 150th year.”
The hats and caps will be available on www.hats.com/brian-dawkins and on www.briandawkins.com. Each hat will include a Brian Dawkins Pro Football Hall of Fame pin. Fans can also receive an individual hand-signed and inscribed “HOF 18” 8×10 photo with a certificate of authenticity with their purchase of a hat or cap. Each hat and cap is packaged in a collectors’ edition box.
