Representatives of the Bollman Hat Co., Adamstown, were in Reading on Friday doing what they do best – hats.
The employee-owned company donated wool, felt, knit and fleece beanies and caps to adults at Opportunity House, a homeless shelter at Second and Buttonwood streets.
The effort was part of Bollman’s annual “Headwear for the Homeless” campaign, which also distributed hats at Mary’s Shelter, a temporary home for homeless pregnant women at 325 S. 12th St.
The annual hat donation is a welcome event at Opportunity House, according to Lorri G. Oziri, vice president of development.
“Bollman Hats brought new, beautiful and colorful styles to help keep our clients warm during the cold winter months,” Oziri said.
